Reducing energy costs and improving efficiency

Cogeneration and trigeneration technologies improve the efficiency of power generation by harnessing the excess heat, steam or other hot gases that would otherwise be lost. The technologies use the excess thermal energy to generate electricity and heat, which means that less fuel needs to be consumed to produce the same amount of energy.

CNF has wide ranging experience in designing and building cogeneration and trigeneration systems and can create a solution to meet your needs, to help reduce energy costs and improve efficiency. We have worked extensively on the upgrade and expansion of existing facilities including hospitals, data centres, food manufacturers, hotels and residential developments. We are well equipped to deal with the many challenges of upgrading existing facilities including where documentation for existing systems is lost. We undertake the detective work to map out the pipe network and determine the system capacity. We also look at matching the capacity of available equipment to current and expected loads. We then undertake the mechanical; electrical and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) designs.

We are highly experienced at working with natural gas systems and with alternative energy sources including wind, solar, hydro, bioenergy and hydrogen and can identify the best fuel source for your energy needs. We can help with new installations and with upgrading or expanding an existing system.
